 UNIT 15 : AT THE FOOTBALL MATCH 
 Lesson 3
A. Aims and objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
-Use “Point to your _____.” to express a command.
-Trace the letter F/f and complete the words ___ather, ___oot, ___ootball,
___ace.
-Sing a song focussing on the structures “That’s your _____.” and “Point to your 
_____.”
1.Knowledge:
-Sentence pattern: “That’s your _____.” and “Point to your _____.”
2. Skills: Integrated skills (speaking and listening)
3. Attitude: Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love learning 
English 
4. Orientation of competence development.
- General competences: communicative, self- studying, problem-solving, and 
cooperative abilities.
- Specific competences: Pronounce the sound of the letter F/f
B. Teaching aids:Textbook, recording, puppets, pictures 
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, objects, recording,computer, projector
2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. C. Procedures:
1. Class organization: (1’) - Greeting
 - Checking for the students' attendance.
2. New lesson:

 Warm up:5’

 1. Listen and repeat:10’
 - Have pupils look at the picture of a boy 
 pointing to his hand. Then have pupils look 
 at the sentence “Point to your hand.” -SS look and listen.
 Explain the meaning of the sentence and 
 how it is used. Check comprehension.
 -Play the recording the first time for pupils 
 to listen and repeat the sentence “Point to 
 your hand.” .Correct pronunciation, if 
 necessary. 
 -Play the recording several times for pupils -Listen and repeat.
 to listen and repeat the sentence in pairs or 
 groups. Give support to those pupils who 
 find it difficult to do the task.
 -Have pupils point to the garden and say the 
 sentence in pairs or groups, saying “Point to 
 your hand.” Go around and offer help, if necessary. -Ss repeat.
-Invite a few pupils to listen and repeat the 
sentence “Point to your hand.” in front of 
the class. Correct their pronunciation, if 
necessary or praise them if they pronounced -SS work in pairs or in groups 
the sentence correctly. to practise.
 2. Let’s talk :7’
- Have pupils look at the bubble to 
understand how the structure:“Point to your 
_____.” is used. Explain the meaning of the 
structure. -SS listen and repeat.
-Have pupils look at Arrow a. Point to the 
hand and ask them, saying What’s this? Tell 
them that it is a hand, saying It’s a hand.
-Ask pupils to use the structure in the 
bubble “Point to your_____.” and Picture 1 -SS look and listen. 
(a hand) to express a command, e.g. Point to 
your hand. Get them to repeat the sentence 
several times individually and in chorus. 
Check comprehension.
-Follow the same procedure with the other 
body parts in the picture. Make sure pupils -SS point and say.
understand the structure “Point to your 
___.”and say it with the right pronunciation 
and intonation. Give further support to those 
pupils who find it difficult to do the task, if 
necessary. -Ask pupils to practise expressing a 
command. Go around and offer help or 
correct pronunciation if necessary.

command in front of the class.
3.Let’s sing :10’
-Have pupils read the lyrics to familiarize 
themselves with the first verse of the song. 
.Explain the meanings of the verse, if 
necessary. Check comprehension.
-Play the recording several times for pupils -SS practise.

 Lesson 1
A. Aims and objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
- Pronounce the sound of the letter W/ w in isolation. 
- Say the words washing, water, Wendy and window.
1. Knowledge:
- Sound /w/
- Vocabulary: washing, water, Wendy and window.
2. Skills: Integrated skills (speaking and listening)
3. Attitude: Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love learning 
English 
4. Orientation of competence development.
- General competences: communicative, self- studying, problem-solving, and

 -Have pupils look at the picture and

2. Point and say :14’
- Have pupils look at the picture again.Ask 
them to describe it. Draw their attention to -SS say in front of the class.

it aloud.
